Review on πŸͺ‘ Amazon Basics Set of 2 Solid Wood Saddle-Seat Kitchen Counter-Height Stools - White, 24-Inch Height by Patricia Wilson

good strong nice stools

The first time I only ordered one set (2 stools) but after we put them together I liked them so much I decided to buy another set to order. And then another. It's not that difficult to assemble (I'm a 73 year old grandmother and my granddaughter is 15). It was a bit difficult for me to tighten the screws to the end, but we managed. We had to glue the small wooden dowels that went over the screw holes because some of them fell out when we turned the stools upside down. But I think a little glue solved the problem. However, one of the locations in this third set is beginning to split. Not very noticeable but you can feel it (bump) from the top and bottom and it goes halfway through the seat (about 8 inches). I didn't notice any cracks when unpacking or assembling as the seat is face down when assembling. It wasn't until I rotated them vertically that I saw and felt it. (I was able to poke my fingernail in a bit.) I tried to squeeze some glue into the crack to keep it from cracking again. But I didn't want to force it open. So I'm not sure if the glue actually got in or would do any good. Also included with this last set were screws, dowels, and dowels. But no instructions. But since I've only recently assembled 4, I didn't need the instructions again. However, I am assuming someone received the package with no parts to assemble and two instructions. I thought I had some extra mounting hardware, but the second set of plugs are white rather than dark walnut. Overall I'm very happy with them and now have 6 good stools for about the price of 2 fancy ones. And they fit under the counter and don't get in the way, unlike my swivel back stools, which always get in the way and break.
