Review on Portland Design Works Sodapop Frame Mount Bicycle Fenders by Aaron Vang

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Not for 29ers. suitable for cycling

I bought these for my Specialized Hardrock 29er. The front fender fits well, but the rear end (forward) is quite springy and often scrapes the wheel, even when riding on the pavement. The rear fender didn't fit at all and I ended up breaking the center clamp (for the fork under the seat) because my bike's frame was the wrong shape. I was able to use a piece of wire to secure the fender, but the end clamp (on the seat tube, next to the bottom bracket) is too low making the fender look short. It also makes it stick out like a rooster's tail. It keeps me dry and I'll keep using them until they break, but I'm not too happy with this purchase. They'll probably work well on a bike with smaller wheels. The quality seems decent and while the clips didn't fit my bike I bet they are gold on some bikes.
