Stops working properly

I plugged it into headphones and it worked fine about 4 or 5 times. But now the sound is only played from one ear. From time to time the sound comes from both ears. And sometimes when I wiggle the connection, I hear a faint noise in the other ear. But there are no problems with the charging port.
