I love Melissa and Doug and the reasons are the same as yours. I bought this product for $10, the price went down briefly. Even the doily is durable, the whole set is durable, and the colors are pleasing to the eye. The pets are so soft, my daughter and I pretend to play a lot. The texture of the food looks real.
