My cat scratched her perch and revealed a tree under the carpet. I couldn't find the same bass online or in stores and he loves this particular bass so much I had to salvage him somehow. It's actually the second because he did the same thing to the first a few years ago! This time I decided to wrap the damaged area with sisal rope. He was easy to work with and I feel better knowing his paws are protected from splinters. It looks a lot better. Plus it's a lot cheaper than buying a brand new perch. I hope it survives its abuse, we'll see!
