I used this ribbon to attach my faux garland to the railing and lots of extra ribbon to wrap around the Christmas tree. For my use, we were able to hide or discard the sections where the ribbon was sewn together (pictured). For my purposes there was no examination of the tape. However, if you use this band where people are around, you might want to reconsider the purchase.
