This pillow adapts perfectly to the contours of the neck. Your head will melt in the middle of it. The raised sides form the neck. The only reason I didn't give a 5 for support is because I've had chiropractic pillows with a stronger round foam core that curls under the neck. But it's still good. When you lie on your back, it hugs your neck. And if you're lying on your side, it has raised sides that leave room for your shoulders.
