You are fine. They seem to break down in the loops and become less stiff the more I wear them. It was a bit difficult for me to get used to them. At first I couldn't use them for reading. After trying to use them for about 5 minutes a day for several days in a row, my eyes seem to have adjusted and I can use them now. They are not as comfortable to use as my prescription progressive lenses. However, I try to protect my good glasses so they last longer. I use these readers in bed so I don't break my good glasses when I fall asleep with them on my face. I also wish I had gone for larger lenses. It's a little tricky to place them in the right spot on my nose to use for reading. Otherwise, this is normal with plastic lenses at a low price and I can use them. I keep them by the bed and use them for reading for a short time. My eyes start watering after using it for more than half an hour.
