Review on πŸ›οΈ Harkla Sensory Compression Sheet for Kids (Full Size) - Alternative to Weighted Blankets for ASD & SPD - Stay Cool, Comfortable, and Improve Sensory Processing by John Hickey

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Life changing, long lasting. Why did I wait so long to buy?

My son has dual sensory disorder and we haven't slept well in a few years. His sleep doctor has been suggesting this product for a year. Even with a 9pm sleep schedule he actually falls asleep at 6am so I was skeptical. The first night my son didn't know what to do with this product (play with it, pull it, put it on top). I watched it about 15 minutes after swimming. My baby curled up under the sheet and slept soundly! I thought there was something wrong with him. I almost woke him up to check his breathing. He was fine! I checked later and it was hanging on the edge of the bed. Still fine. and sleeps. The second night he knew what to do and everything went more smoothly. We've had the compression sheet for about a week now, and although my son took a late nap and can't fall asleep right away, most of the time he just stays in bed for bathing and watering, not playing. This product is amazing! The material is strong and not flimsy at all. I think we'll outgrow it before it wears out. FYI, his mattress is 8 inches thick and it takes a bit of time and effort to put the sheets on, like a compression sock. It gets easier with practice. Compression seems to have stayed the same after one wash. Too bad I didn't get it sooner.
