Review on Cootree Bluetooth Headphone Resistant Microphone by Monica Russell

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best cheap bluetooth headsets you can buy.

Highly recommended: Buy 4 of these kits, 3 of them before the change and one in 2019 after the change. They hold up well, lasting 13-16 hours for music/tv and even longer if you use them on standby for calls instead. There are times I leave them on standby for weeks, use them and they run a full 8-12 hours before they beep low battery considering they are already 3-4 years old - that's amazing . I need another kit for my new laptop and I'm getting the second edition 2019+. The biggest change, and one that worries me, is that the newer models require you to press and hold 'on' until you hear a beep. If you turn them on by just looking at the LED flash, they turn off after 5 seconds. Sometimes this will force the newer version of them into pairing mode if they can't pick up their paired device fast enough, it's very annoying but doesn't happen too often if you're aware - just make sure BT is enabled on the original device and they work 99.9% of the time (I have to rematch 2 or 3 times a year). On Windows/Linux you can improve the sound by turning on the bass boost of the 80-130Hz sound device (different frequencies in this range produce different sound quality, 95Hz is a really good balance) and +9dB to +15dB get a richer sound. It does have some impact on battery usage, but it's worth it.
