They can be conveniently carried in a jacket pocket. I have big hands and they fit me perfectly. I have no issues with thumb caps not covering my skin. The magnets on the thumbs feel nice. I really want them to put in a magnet to hold the flaps in place. The pocket where the flaps are hidden is just clumsy. They are definitely not intended for prolonged wear in very cold weather. I use them for walking the dog, cleaning the car, and other quick trips. You will also feel the wind blowing through them, but that's what I expected when I bought them. They are also in no way waterproof.
