Shaving is a must!
Even with non-flavored, there is a slight odor, but not unpleasant and does not linger. I still have a few ingrown hairs and bumps from shaving, but not nearly as many as I used to. Now I will definitely use this product (also on legs and armpits) instead of the traditional shaving cream. Coochy Plus is smooth, silky and moisturizing. I also tried the aftershave spray, it smelled bad and didn't help, so I'll stick with the shaving cream.
