My wife and I hated the junk pieces of new footpegs they want to put in new fifth wheels these days, which really sucks. anything on the steps, dirt, debris, everything goes in when you put them down unless you want to take your time and sweep them up. When traveling we use the inner canister when we stop to refuel or rest rather than using the public toilets witches have who knows what's on the toilets and faucets. We like these steps, a little work to stop them but well worth it. and there it is wider, easier to walk up and down. much luck
