Review on πŸ–οΈ American Plastic Toys Sand Table: Exciting Playtime for Young Explorers by Drake Burroughs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

5 Stars - My son loves the table and played with it for 3 hours the day he arrived!

This table arrived yesterday (Memorial Day weekend) and I quickly bought a 50 pound bag of sterilized sand to fill at my local grocery store (additional cost $4.16). There's probably about 25 pounds of sand in the table - I keep the other half of the bag for when we need to replace the sand. The table only took a few minutes to assemble, and if you can lift 25 pounds, it's not difficult to move. My four year old played with him for three hours last night. He took all his Hot Wheels, toy cement mixers, and dump trucks out on deck and wouldn't stop playing when it was bath time. I know he loves playing with the sand but it has been amazing to see how long it has entertained him. The toy is made of thick plastic but I don't know how long it will last. It's not the hard plastic you get with Little Tykes toys, it feels a bit more fragile. I would hate to keep taking it apart to clean and put back together because it will probably break. At the moment the table lives on our roof terrace with a tarp in the sand. There are small elastics on the tarpaulin that attach to the table but I don't think they hold up very well. I'm hoping to get at least three months off this table and I'll be happy with the $30 cost. My son has many hours of fun ahead of him this summer. Although this table is a brand new purchase I really don't think I will regret it. I look forward to my son enjoying his new sand table while I get some vitamin D and lots of summer playtime on our patio. My 4 year old is very tall for his age and has no problem with the height of this table. I think this table is suitable for children from 12 months to 6 years old. Good buy for children, I recommend.
