I ordered this stand to improve airflow on my 2012 13" Macbook Pro. While I'm happy with the quality, looks, and price, I would like to see grooves or waves added to the rubber pad. where the computer sits to allow for better airflow The hottest area under my Macbook (on the back to the left of all ports) is now almost completely covered by a rubber pad. 1.5 inches wide on each side and spans the entire depth of the stand. My Macbook is 9 inches wide and 12.75 inches wide. That corresponds to 27 square meters. inch (2 * 1.5" * 9") rubber that now covers almost a quarter of the bottom of the MacBook (9 inches * 12.75 inches = 114.75 square inches). If grooves were cut or molded into these rubber strips, the rubber that comes in contact with the bottom of the computer would be easily bisected. Especially when the manufacturer has included a ribbed rubber band that the customer can cut out and stick on at home. The stand is very stable. All it takes are four extreme contact points and some rubber on the front where the computer rests on the stand. The amount of elastic on the stand is overkill, but it's easy to set up.
