You don't need this item anymore

I'm surprised people still write reviews about it. Apparently people are still buying. Well I'm here to tell you that you don't need this thing anymore. When the XBOX360 first came out, regular USB drives were not compatible with the XBOX360. If you ran out of hard drive space and needed a place to store your data (player profile information, saved files, videos, game demos, installed games, etc. with your friend), you had no choice but to buy overpriced Microsoft memory blocks for XBOX ( like this one!). to any USB storage device, making those old XBOX360 memory blocks irrelevant. With so many cheap USB drives, you don't really need this memory module. However, I purchased this item in 2009 and still use it today. It doesn't have much storage space other than my gamer profile and some backup files, but I still use it to move my gamer profile between my XBOX360 and my friend's system. I could do the same thing with a simple flash drive, but my friend usually has things already plugged into his system's USB ports (usually the controllers charge), so it's nice and handy to have that thing plugged into its own storage port to be able to connect. without having to deal with USB ports. In fact, that's pretty much the only remaining reason I can think of you'd want to use this: if you already have other things plugged into your USB ports and you're too lazy to turn them off. Also, it seems that the newer "thin" (black, smaller) XBOX360 models are not compatible with these older memory modules, so be careful which model you have.
