Axle O-Ring does not fit my 2005 LR3 with ZF6HP26 Transmission

2005 Land Rover LR3 4.4L V8 with ZF6HP26 Transmission: After several hours of disassembling the transmission it's time to replace the sealing rubber and replace the bridge. 3 of 4 rubber hose seals were ok (2 short and 1 long). The mid-length print was slightly longer than it could have been. The big problem was that the bridge seal would not sit in place. The spare part has an additional cast part in the bridge area (see pictures).
