My husband gave me a Galaxy Tab A7 as a present. While I'm very careful with my tech products, the A7 is quite thin, tall and slim and doesn't feel particularly comfortable in the hand. My previous tablet cases were thinner with lids to cover the screen, but the size of my new tablet meant I could hold it comfortably in my hand, as well as an easel on the back. Although it appears to be made for kids, the BRAECN case seemed to offer everything I wanted. The case is very bulky, most of the volume falls on the back where there is a rotating Velcro handle and an easel at the bottom. This rotating part is very handy for adjusting the angle at which the tablet is held, but it protrudes at the back and prevents the tablet from lying flat on the counter. The easel works best in landscape mode; The top of the tablet is quite low in portrait mode. Two latches are attached to the corners of the long side so you can add a carrying strap. The latches are attached with straps and can be easily removed (which I did). Inserting the tablet into the case requires some care to ensure everything is secure. This is a very functional case with good protection on the sides and back, with raised edges around the entire perimeter of the tablet. The side buttons are protected and the speakers and cameras are exposed to work properly. Unfortunately, the charging port is behind an annoying fabric protective flap. I expect to cut this off at the end as it serves no purpose for me. If your display is set to adaptive brightness, it may not work well at some angles because the thickness of the case can block light. This dims the display when you might not want it. I expect this to be a great case for kids, but I find some of the more protective features might be a bit annoying for others just like me. It's ironic to buy a slim, thin device and then cover it with protective foam, but I think this offers good revenue opportunities for both Samsung and aftermarket companies like BRAECN.
