These high quality knobs are very important to have the right TOOLS to make them work. Withstands wind and water well. I'm attaching 3 photos: 2 lampshades I made and 1 tool needed to complete the job (the round part is what you put the knob on and the stem is what you hammer into). Insert the button and use the blue pen to poke holes in the material. You have many tools but they work for me. Remember that these aren't buttons, it has the right tool to complete your output.
