For the price I like this obi style belt (compared to real leather belts in the $50+ price range). it fits me perfectly (size 8). I think the max waist measurement for a proper belt tie at the back is about 33 inches, otherwise you'll just have a portion of the tie that crosses at the back. (Note: the lace-covered version of this belt fits a smaller waist - likely a maximum waist of around 29 inches - provided the thicker part of the belt meets properly at the back.)

Nice belt and it served its purpose (visually) for the Merida Brave suit I wore to work last week. Unfortunately I became more and more suspicious as I worked, only to realize at the end of the day that it was me and that was the BELT! I even confirmed with other colleagues that the strap smelled like fish! As a woman, I was embarrassed that I went to work all day unconsciously, sniffing, well, mature :/ I aired the belt a few days before putting it on, reading reviews that the belt was right…

I love this belt and it fits my 30 inch waist perfectly. Play with it. The PU leather arrived with a terrible smell. I doused my back with Febreze and aired it for over a week. I can no longer smell the smell. The quality seems good and strong, the seams are sewn well. Remember the straps are folded and glued so you can see the visible stitching. My only concern is that they will eventually arrive at Ararat or will need to be re-glued due to wear and tear over time as they are unstitched. But…
