Garden Hose /shut Off

Appears well made however have not used too much yet. The handle is small and for a senior citizen like me a little hard to turn. Overall though a good product.

Pros
  • These take a good finger/hand strength to open and close. Otherwise they are great!
Cons
  • The valve creates a bottleneck reducing the flow. Just something to keep in mind.

The unit is durable looking

Have not used yet but have tried to move off/on lever for ball valve to get it loosened up, again the feel of the unit is that it should last forever and moving the ball valve may take that long to loosen up for positioning the lever is small.

  • This valve works just fine. There is no plastic to break, and no steel to rust.

  • May be prone to wear and tear over time

These work - but I need a wrench to turn on or off

IMHO, the se are excessively stiff and difficult to turn. I planned to use them frequently to shut off the supply to my washing machine, but am very disappointed that I need a pliers or wrench nearby to turn them. Knowing this, I would NOT buy again.

Screw falls out of the handle!

I really loved this Valve. Much better than the plastic Valves that I have been using. But, after a month of use the small screw that attaches the handle fell out and was lost in the grass. I was lucky to find the handle. I'm unable to find a screw replacement. I bought two of these valves and same happened. Frustrating!

  • Apart from the 7missing gaskets, valves were fine.

Nice fittings for my opinion

These are nice fittings, and better than pvc type in my opinion. It works as it should and am all set with the extra washers that were included. I would recommend.

  • I love these and keep a couple for the house, one for the shop, and one in the RV. I love them.

EXACTLY what I was looking for!

I have several water hose and some of them are 175ft. Seems lazy for me to say this, but it's a pain every time I need to swap out the nozzle with the water running. I can either bring the hose back to the faucet, turn the water off, replace, then turn the water on. ORRRRRRRR. With this attachment I can shut it off where I am standing! Good valves for cheap

Nice cheap shut off valves that work very well. I like that it comes with replacement gaskets also since you never know how long one will last. It’s a good buy

Seal issue on my review.

The rubber seals don't hold up at the hose connection. I bought two of these and the seals each lasted about 3 months. The valve works well, but it takes some muscle to open and close it. A little longer handle would improve that.

Saves time and water

I no longer have to walk all the way back to the faucet to turn off the water. The first time you move the valve you'll need to use tools for a good grip but afterwards it's easy to move with one hand even. I save a lot of water using this device.

Very convenient that I don't have to go back and forth to adjust the sprinkler. Good price and the extra washers are a plus.

Hard to open with water pressure

Hard to control flow. As described, well packaged.. Hard to open chincy valve with pressure. Just go to store and buy a real off on vaive

The valve to shut off and on is super-tight. Sorry, but it was a pain.

Anyone with arthritis should not buy this. I wanted a durable product, but the screws were so tight that I have not been able to undo them. I either have to hire a handyman or wait for my nephew to visit in order to use them. But something else

Valve moves smoothly, doesn't leak.

The machining and fit-and-finish on these are good quality. The ball valve moves smoothly and doesn't leak at all. It works as expected and I've nothing to gripe about.

Nice solid valve, but

Nice little valve but very hard to open or close, I used a couple of them for a number of months hoping they would get easier with use but eventually switched to some with a bigger handle.
