They keep crackling like sparklers so they're obviously trick candles but on top of that they were really smoky and had a weird chemical smell when burned.

These candles are a hit for the dollar but hit and miss in terms of performance. We used 6 of these and only 2 were lit continuously. The rest burned out, but the wick continued to burn without a flame, causing constant smoke.

A little thin, small in size and width. In general, the quality of these candles does not please at all. But they worked so I have to give them stars for that. They are thin and short and therefore burn quickly. Next time I will look for longer and thicker ones.

After about 10 seconds, they can't be blown out for a minute or two. But you have to wait the first ten seconds. Now I have very long enough since I don't use them all at once, but rather one or two per cake.

This is actually a great item for a survival kit. It is essentially a windproof candle that can be very useful when trying to start a fire. You can use a match that lasts only a few seconds to light this candle, and then you can build the fire in peace even in windy places.

I followed the instructions for T. Allow the candles to burn for 60 seconds before attempting to blow them out. You can hear the candles pop as mentioned in other comments but it's not a big deal. As you can see in the photo, the candle almost completely burns out in this 60-second period. I would not recommend this product if you are buying it for fun. The flame went out as quickly as an ordinary candle.

The product worked as described, however I would not recommend blowing out the candles indoors. I'm really surprised my table or whatever didn't catch fire from all the sparks when my son blew out the candles. There are now burn marks on my desk and the smoke was very heavy when they finally went out. We ended up just throwing them in a cup of water to tell them apart. They were fun at first, but with young children around it became a bit sketchy.
