Description of 33 Inch Wingspan Geospace GEOGLIDE Freedom Eagle Glider - Soar To New Heights!

The FREEDOM EAGLE has been professionally sculpted and detailed down to every single feather to make them the most realistic flying bird models ever produced! All the shapes and lines are to scale and the skin on the body reveals all the muscles in the arms and body. The Eagle model is hand-painted and just like in nature, no two are exactly alike. Carefully shaped in the “glide” position for high flight performance and made from nearly indestructible, durable EPP foam with a huge lifelike 33” wingspan. They can be assembled in seconds with plug-in wings and tails, plus all include a small hook for displaying from the ceiling when not in use. Flying any of our 3 life-like models is easy (We also have a Hawk and Pterodactyl). For play around the yard or in smaller areas just grab underneath and give it a throw. With a little more space, like a local park or playfield you can use our Extreme Launcher System to gently launch your model up to 50 feet high where it then automatically disengages so your model can then soar free in flights of 250 feet or more!. The included launcher will easily get your model up to 30ft or more depending on wind. Only one person is needed; after setup in a baseball infield sized grassy area just pull back the model bird, point into the wind at let it go. The model will gently be towed up like a kite then automatically let go of the line in free flight. Just grab the end of the line at the ribbon and do it again! You can experiment with the length of your pull back but it usually just takes 8-10 steps.

Came twice with a broken beak

The first eagle I ordered arrived with a broken beak, the second one arrived and it had the same issue; broken beak. My son wanted it so badly, he just shoved the beak back into the plastic cover that is around the head and is using it as is. The eagle does float nicely and I was able to return the first eagle easily. We are keeping this one because it still functions and my little guy doesn't want to wait for another one. All in all, he is still happy with it, although, I am afraid that…

Pros
  • Good quality and flew really well.
Cons
  • ...but the beak broke the first time it flew.

Not worth the money

This broke almost immediately. The Bird did not fly well even before it broke. Definitely not worth the price. Thanks for attention!

Pros
  • Toy Figures & Playsets
Cons
  • Requires assembly

Flies Great but Have a Glue Gun Handy

It's quite a beautiful sight watching the eagle soar, especially on a windy day. You need a large open space.Other people in the park enjoy watching it go. Problem is it comes apart rather quickly. I took it home and applied a glue gun to all the parts, and that has so far kept it together when flying. When not in use, it's hanging in the front window.

Pros
  • The included launcher will easily get your model up to 30ft or more depending on wind.
Cons
  • Too small for adults: With a wingspan of only 33 inches, the Glider may not be big enough to accommodate adults, limiting its target audience.

Converted to Radio-Control for slope soaring

I converted the toy foam glider to radio control for slope soaring. Two servos actuate the "elevons" on the wing tips. I cut and hinged the wing tips, embedded two servos, put the receiver inside the body. A small LiPo battery slides right in the slot where the tow hook used to be. It will stay up in about 6-7 MPH winds, depending on the hill you are flying from. I glued all of the foam back together after I dis-assembled the top of the body from the bottom (glued that back together, and glued…

Pros
  • March 25, 2019
Cons
  • Limited age range: The Glider may not be suitable for younger children, as it requires advanced motor skills to assemble and fly.

Lasted about 20 throws

Pretty neat. Took some nosedives and the beak snapped. The pegs that secure the wings also fell apart. Just not structurally sound.

Pros
  • 6 - 6 years
Cons
  • Despite its claims of soaring to new heights, the Glider may not perform as well as advertised, making it a poor investment for avid flyers

Epic fail. Even dad! Kids disappointed.

You never know till you try. Assembled well, plumetted rather than flew. Perhaps it needs one of those things they have on aircraft carriers! But on the upside, it looks great as a mobile lol.

Pros
  • 10061
Cons
  • Limited durability: The Glider is made of cheap plastic material, which makes it less durable and prone to breaking under slight pressure.

Not worth the money

If I had paid $20 or less for this flying eagle, I would not have been disappointed. $34.99 is too much for the all-styrofoam construction and likelihood of breakage within the first few flights.

Pros
  • Quality, rugged glider! Excellent quality.
Cons
  • Cheaply made!!! Beak broke after first flight definitely not worth the price!!!
