3M Chrome and Metal Polish, 10 oz , Pink - Ultimate Shine and Protection for Chrome and Metal Review

Works as advertised. Doesn't need a lot of "elbow grease" to get rid of rust/pitting. I used it to restore a 1930 Model A. Paint residues on the chrome were also removed. Chrome restored to new condition. Just remember this is no magician as no product can repair chrome that has been severely damaged by chipping/rusting/pitting.

I decided to try this polish because it was advertised as 'for professional use only' and was cheaper than my standard Autosol polish but the results were disappointing . It barely lightened chrome and metal on my boat's shiny finish and I had to resort to SOS seals to deal with the corrosion. I think I've learned my lesson: if you're looking for a polish that will make metal shine, choose Autosol, no matter the price.

I had a Ducati clutch slave cylinder that was leaking leaving black marks on some aluminum parts under the cylinder from dirty hydraulic fluid. I have tried various products including brake cleaner which is toxic. This 3M paste, combined with very light rubbing, instantly removed all stains. The only problem is that the area where the hydraulic fluid was fouled now shines a lot brighter than the rest of the bike's aluminum parts.
