Difficult to assemble

I received this 2 pack yesterday and was trying to assemble it; I have no problem aligning the star holes with the face shield, but when I try to thread the face shield into the channel (D) and lock the locking tab (E), it doesn't work. I'm afraid if I use too much force the face shield might break. Any help I can get would be greatly appreciated.

Simply insert the corners into the holes (at an angle) as they will fit, then rotate the center of the lens toward the center clip and snap into place. To get into the middle clamp, you have to make a lot of effort. Get a big click and you're golden. The only thing I don't like is that when I lower the shield where I need it, it
