When you look into the light it's dazzling most of the time, but because it's coated it's subtle and has a warm glow. I really wish they were 100 watts but I'll take what I can get.

Bad! Installed on Monday, and one burned out on Thursday! When I tried to replace the bulb, it broke leaving the base in the fixture. Now we need to turn off the switch and dig up the base before we can replace the lightbulb.

As another reviewer writes, this lamp worked perfectly with my 10 year old Walmart Mainstays 3 Brightness Touch lamp. This bulb does not work as a three-way bulb. I connect a table lamp to a dimmer and this bulb works fine so it can be dimmed. Bright enough to read in bed or work at your desk. The pears came bubble wrapped in a postal envelope. None of the bulbs broke but it would have been better if they were sent in a box. I'm pleased with this bright, clean lightbulb.
