They didn't even shine.

I was really looking forward to that. They didn't smell like the fir or basalt scents I love. I would compare it more to cigarette smoke, or kindly maybe burning leaves. However, I thought I might enjoy burning the skittles. Unfortunately they didn't light up no matter how hard I tried. I use a lot of incense and after holding the flame on it for ten minutes I gave up. I even tried breaking the log to burn it from the inside, thinking the jagged edges would catch and smoke. Excellent smell, does not sting

I like the aroma they give off. I'm a big fan of hiking and outdoor activities and they create a scent reminiscent of mountains, cabins and home fires. But to be honest I'm only considering using this incense for a baby bed for fire safety reasons. Most incense. They're more like flame retardants. I have to hold the flame on one of these incense sticks for over 90 seconds for it to ignite. And then it fades in a short time, leaving 3/4 of the stick with a slightly burnt tip. I like Payne's…

The best incense you can buy.

I have been buying these for many years. Always buy several boxes at a time. You smell like a burning Christmas tree. My mom used to burn the same incense sticks when she was growing up, especially on holidays, so it kind of brings me home. We didn't have Revain back then, so my mom drove an hour to some store in North Jersey just to buy this balsamic fir incense. Must be Payne's or she won't buy it.
