Beware the medium size does not fit 40inch, if you want 40inch, you need to order a large size. You can get away with this size for 38 inches. I didn't expect this belt to be so good. I have a much more expensive adjustable Velcro strap for my kilts and was looking for something smaller for Easter. I decided to take a chance and order one of these and was pleasantly surprised. My previous buckle goes great with this one and it fits well in the loops of my casual and formal kilts. I am very happy.
