Crazy Cat Lady Auto Sunshade: Car Full of Cats by Archie McPhee Review

This shade is weak. I paid a lot of money, but the goods did not stand up and sank. The shadow is too short for an SUV and you can't see the image from the windshield very well. The seller was awkward to deal with and he wanted me to pay twice for the return shipping. Lesson learned.

I've had this sun visor for 2 months now and it has completely fallen apart in the California heat. The image has completely faded and the film on the side of the photo continues to slowly peel off on a daily basis. For the price I should have just gotten a regular sun visor that would actually do the job. It didn't cool my car either. Although cute, it didn't help protect my car.

Bought this as a Christmas present for my feline friend. She lost it and can't wait to use it and sent photos to others before leaving. I would say it's worth it. The quality was really good. Nice, thick and easy to fold. I liked it so much that I bought the starry night version for artistic me. It was even $4 cheaper. The cat version was more expensive than many of the other versions, but perhaps because it was more of a joke gift.

I have the electronics in the center of the windshield so it's impossible to flush mount them which ruins the cartoon effect MORE than I expected. It's effective and the film inside really helps with sun protection. My main complaint is that it's a real slut to put the suction cups back on as directed. The suction cups are also quite strong, so removing them and standing the whole thing up or trying to hang it by the suction cups can be uncomfortable. BUT it's cute. I think next time I'll…

First, the seller has a great returns policy and was easy to work with. That said, yes, this visor is quite small. It fits well in my Ford Ecosport (mini SUV) but has to use suction cups. This means there will always be suction cup marks on the windshield. Unfortunately the suction cups couldn't stand the heat and one broke in half when I tried to remove the visor. We love the design of the sun visor. The only reason we rated it 4 stars is because the shade is too small. There is a gap at the top and bottom. There are suction cups that help hold it in place and make it usable, but one was deformed which could be due to being out in the Texan sun during the day. I almost died when I came across this shade. It fully reflects not only the sun but also my love for cats! This is a win-win situation. My only complaint is that it doesn't fit well on my windshield. I have a 2018 Honda Civic and it doesn't cover the entire windshield. Everything is fine from top to bottom, but there's a noticeable spot on each side where it's not wide enough.
