🔧 ACDelco Professional 252-901 Engine Water Pump: Reliable, Efficient, and Durable Review

Has not worked for a little over a year. Water flows from the drain hole. Except for the water pump from the parts store, but with the ACdelco unit that's a bit much. The radiator was replaced, the block washed, the heads restored. Fresh coolant and it still hasn't worked for less than 10,000 miles. 2014 2500.Iv never came back with a cheaper gate block.

I ordered this part for my truck after we found that the horrible rumble was coming from the pump pulley. This part is perfect after we removed the old squeaky pump. who knew My truck loves it. I haven't heard a single complaint from him since we installed the new pump. If I need another one in about 200,000 miles I will definitely be buying another one!

I bought this pump in March 2018 and since August 2019 after 22,000 miles it started leaking from the bearing seal outlet. This is my first AC Delco water pump that I bought from Revain, but the same product I bought for my 2005 Silverado failed in almost the same amount of time. Napa sells TruFlow and they have a lifetime warranty, so I went that route. Extremely disappointed in GM.

Perfect for my 2008 suburb. Packaged should have been better - just a little paper in the box for cushioning. Addendum: After almost exactly 6 months, the pump started to leak. I will update again after trying to get a warranty replacement. Update 2/10/17: Revain honored the warranty, no questions asked. Good job Revin! However, I still give the leaky pump one star.

Minus 10 stars. The impeller/bearing started to burn in less than 2 minutes. Metal rattled on metal and the pump couldn't be touched, it was so hot. I turned it off as soon as I realized where the noise was coming from. Yes, the system was totally dex cool. 4 hours lost, 2 gallons of antifreeze wasted, and the truck sits for another week while I buy another brand of oil. AC Delco - NEVER AGAIN. And don't let any metal shavings be found during disassembly 'cause if that ruins my engine.

Arrived on time, no pads so buyer should know to purchase pads. The water pump only had an ac delco sticker so I didn't look at the universal pump but for $90 which is still cheaper than Oreilys. I called and complained Amazon gave me a loan to buy new pads. Bought ac delco pads which came in ac delco pouches. General. It took 3 hours, I recommend buying a pair of pliers (lockout pliers) to remove the caps on the water pump hoses. Nice replacement job. It's been 2 days now and not a single leak

The quality of the water pump is really good, it's ACDelco, it's built in and it works as it should. The only problem is that it arrived with a bent gasket as well as a bent top house pipe. There was no transport damage because. was in a box in another box and only the inner box was damaged in the same place as the top pipe of the house but the outer box was intact. Luckily I was able to straighten the seals and pipe at home and no damage was done! Installed on Suburban 5.3L LT 2WD 2008.
