🚿 High Performance ACI 177113 Windshield Washer Pump for Efficient Cleaning Review

I wasn't expecting much for the price but it does what it's supposed to. My windshield washer is now working again. My only complaint is that the factory wiring harness does not connect directly to this pump. You have to use the cables that come with the pump, which isn't a big deal but adds another step instead of "plug and play". Let's see how long these last.

Unlike regular supplier pumps that require wiring, this pump fits the Honda wiring harness. The included rubber seal has a built-in mesh filter to protect against large particles. This pump also has noticeably more power. I just hope the internal seal between impeller and motor lasts as long as the OEM. I installed a couple from the parts store that failed after 1 year with a flooded motor.

The pump itself fits perfectly and works as it should. However, the electrical connector did not match my 2003 Subaru Forester's rear pump wiring harness, so I had to use a splice kit. I cut the wires just below the wire harness and used some insulated splices and a crimping tool to connect the wires. I wrapped it with elastic to keep moisture out. Like I said, the pump works great. Just don't expect a plug and play system to work with every car.

Standard replacement part I think but Revain says it will fit my 1997 Subaru Outback which is not really true. It is advertised as a replacement for the rear window washer. Fluid connections are OK. However, the electrical connector has the lugs at right angles to each other (as shown), while my car connector has the lugs parallel to each other. So I will have to use an adapter. The cables (supplied) and electrical connection are not weatherproof or well relieved. Not worth returning or buying…
