I should have looked at all the reviews that said they were too small for adult masks. They're definitely there, as you can see in the image (the filter is shown with a regular-sized Lands' End mask). They don't stay in place very well because they move around in the mask pocket. It makes them inconvenient... and probably ineffective.

I bought a few months ago a neoprene-like, elastic, breathable face mask that, due to its unique design, cannot use the well-known 2.5 m flat carbon filters that fit in the inner pocket of face masks designed with it.
