I can finally see into my barn!

I love this item! I bought 5 LED bulbs from a dollar tree, screwed them in, then screwed them into a socket and positioned the bulbs where the light was needed most. It was a cheap, quick and easy solution to my lighting problem!

It's pretty heavy

I was hoping to convert my portable studio light from a giant fluorescent tube to smaller and much cheaper LED bulbs. Unfortunately this block is too heavy for my light stand - it was so heavy it damaged the lamp socket and I had to hack it open and re-solder some of the connections. therefore ideal for a more stable wall mount.

Works to a halt

From the start everything seemed shaky, especially the hinges - but at least it worked. Then, when the lightbulb burned out, I grabbed a lightbulb as a temporary measure. Measures I quickly realized that this lamp is ONLY suitable for LED lamps - otherwise the plastic will start to melt. I quickly found out the damage was only cosmetic so I replaced it with LEDs and they held up well for almost a year. Until today, in passing, I hit him with a broomstick.
