My son loves this style and finds them comfortable and easy to slip on. They have a good grip on the bottom. The laces are so long that there isn't another hole or two near the toe to take advantage of the extra length of the laces. Having to double and triple tie them to avoid the risk of tripping results in a pile of tied laces at the top hence only 3 stars.

My 10 year old burns through shoes at an alarming rate. He wears them 98% of the time and even though they have a mesh front, they last longer than other shoes. Although after about a month it tore the label on the tongue. My husband was impressed with the durability of these shoes - my child almost outgrew them before they were destroyed. Worth the extra cost!

I have bought LOTS of pairs of adidas shoes and I live by the brand. When I put them on, it seemed to me that they still had a piece of cardboard inside, which is sometimes put in new shoes for packaging. Well, there wasn't anything about the shoes that wasn't meant to be, and I hope they will "dress up" and be more comfortable.
