Strong and Durable

ArmorTex Complete! I had no luck with neoprene. Things just don't last long and offer very little protection. After tearing my third pair of gloves in three years, I decided to try something different. Although I haven't used them in a very long time I can say that they are DURABLE and will certainly withstand many seasons of heavy use. It should be noted that while this material is very durable, it does not offer the warmth that many people are used to from neoprene. If your hands get cold…

Great gloves for lobster, uni and slingshot fishing

Great gloves for lobster, uniform and spearfishing. These are good, durable gloves and comfortable enough to wear without another pair underneath. They don't keep you warm which many have commented so I tried a pair of lightweight diving gloves underneath and it worked fine although I didn't need it as the water was warm enough. You can still poke through them (I was dealing with black sea urchin needles and one went through when mishandled) but they worked great for everything else I handled…

Attention lobsters! for water sports

In the past I would buy a pair of gloves for $40-50 a year. Crawfish have sharp ends that tear through ordinary diving gloves and fingers. I even used some Home Depot work gloves because they were cheaper. Tired of the constant cuts on my hands and fingers, I bought a pair of these three years ago. To this day they haven't had a single crack. I can grab a lobster without worrying about getting bitten. I thought I lost my original pair so I recently bought another pair. Of course, after the new…

Heavy Duty Cut Resistant Gloves

I have used these gloves for many years - have changed several pairs. I dive a lot and have done over 1900 dives to date. I first started using them when spearfishing around gas and oil platforms (which were covered in clams and common critters) off the Texas coast. They are also great for use near wrecks or navigating an anchor line covered with gooseneck shells. They are really cut-resistant and are just as suitable as puncture protection as normal ones. It's a Kevlar-like material that's…

Update: 8/1/16 These gloves still work! Also, I recently got into a fight with a small reef shark for which I only got three stitches thanks to these gloves. I have attached a photo. I'm not saying these gloves are shark proof, but I'm pretty sure my injuries would have been a lot worse if I hadn't been wearing them at the time! I will never fish without these gloves! If I could give them 10 stars I would! Thank you Akona for helping me save my big toe! I use these gloves when spearfishing and…

Large Overglove; size works great.

First of all I returned this item because it didn't fit. But that would fit my needs perfectly. I dive into aquarium exhibits to host community feedings and maintain the aquarium. The latter means grabbing, digging, and manipulating your hands through rough sand, walls, artificial rocks, etc. These gloves would be perfect if there wasn't one small detail. They run BIG. They are marketed as protective gloves, meaning you can wear them over another glove to provide protection OR you can wear them
