Elbow pads are quite strong. I use it for crawling in the basement and in the attic. This works great for me! It stays in place and doesn't slip out. Good design!

Articulated knee. I have 4 other brands that have no segments above and below the knee and fall off after a slight movement. This one does not move, bind or fall. I cross the straps bottom to top (and top to bottom) for added stability. Rifle training 4 days in the desert and not once did they wrap themselves around my ankles. They are easy to clean, just rinse them off. Very impressive. I also bought the elbow pads and they are excellent too.
