Description of π° Cookson Flow Temp Lead Free Plumbing: The Ultimate Solution for Efficient and Safe Plumbing Systems
The product is 3OZ .125 Plumb Solder. Easy to use. The product is manufactured in China. For general non-electrical applications including copper plumbing and water tanks. 430 Degree F melting point. 0.125 Diameter. 3-Ounce. Carded.
Appears to be a good material. Melts/flows well with the right flux. I've installed some basement plumbing and outdoor faucets and made probably 16-20 individual connections on 1/2" copper with this solder. Not a single leak or problem anywhere.
I like this solder because it is flux free and doesn't use the wrong solder for the job. It is excellent for soldering plumbing, electrical and stainless steel parts. It's also stronger and has a higher melting point than electrosolder, meaning you have less to worry about parts moving over time.
Pros
For general non electrical applications including copper piping and water tanks
My project was simple, I needed to add a second regulator to my irrigation system. The water pressure in my house is so high that 1 pressure reducer is not enough. This project required me to sweat over some copper fittings/pipes on the outside of my house. I used flux for reference. This solder worked fine. All fittings are well sealed and the second pressure reducer solved my watering problem.
