I need something big enough to hold my growing collection of hats/gloves/scarves for my family of 5. big enough. This basket was too big for my closet shelf but perfect for the closet bottom. It's strong but not rigid. The sides flex when pressure is applied, but it stands up on its own with no problem. He is light. I am happy with the purchase. This is slightly larger than the size of a large pack of paper towels.

It stands on its own and withstands falling/thrown socks and the like. Holds enough clothes for small to medium loads. It's big enough to be folded in the dryer on the way back. If I could ask for one change, it would be to put the fabric handles directly under the frame on the outside instead of on the inside. I haven't had this item for a very long time but I have ordered two to keep linens and clothes in the pantry of our rented home.
