You get what you pay for and it's not what I would call true 8 AWG so I'm limiting use to 40A rather than 60A. Otherwise good value for money.

Works great, used them to connect the solar panel to the controller. Perfect thickness and feels good on the outside. And it's good to have black and red

The wire is the correct size but there is a problem with corrosion and breakage after soldering. Used different soldering methods and types of solder, it still rusts.

This wire got very hot and caused a fire on my boat, I used it on a trolling motor, not good at all, it corrodes and falls apart very easily. The wire got very hot and broke. Good thing I caught it fast enough or else my boat would have been wrecked.

I wish this product would have been about 20 years ago when I worked on a lot of cars when I installed amplifiers. Thick jacket but easy to cut and quite flexible. Wires pull apart easily and joining together is easy for a wiring harness and overall cleaner look. I want them to do version 4 of Guage too.

If you are working with DC, be sure to buy the correct type of cable. This wire was perfect for my needs. I recently installed a 3000w inverter in my pickup truck and this cable was perfect for the setup. Great quality well worth it if I ever need this type of wire again I know exactly where to get it.

Note that this is copper-coated aluminum. I saw a review from someone who was upset that it wasn't pure copper, but the product never claimed it. If you want to use this for speakers it's half the price but about 70% more efficient than pure copper so better quality for the price. Also pay attention to the length used. Thank you!

This wire is 100% aluminum no copper, consider your application carefully, aluminum has a higher resistance than copper, this wire will NOT conduct as much current as copper wire. The only advantage of this wire is that it is much lighter in weight than copper wire - this wire can be compared to anything between 10ga and 12ga copper wire.
