Pretty flakes

They make my nails so damn cute! I switch back and forth between acrylic and a basic gel manicure, so sometimes I feel like adding a bit of sparkle, and these gold flakes really do it. I've been learning how to do my own nails due to the whole pandemic and this is one of the products I've bought and I'm definitely not disappointed as they make a great addition to any nail collection. You must buy! Very easy to use and looks so beautiful.

Pros
  • Power
Cons
  • Dodgy purchase for seniors

Great for the money

I ordered foil flakes to practice with the project canvas. You get a lot and it's worth carefully separating 3/4 foil stopper from a bottle filled with my container. Flakes are much easier to use when scattered and separated. When cutting, make sure there is no wind, otherwise there will be flakes everywhere. After a few months without sealing I could not detect any tarnishing. I will be ordering 14k gold leaf but I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros
  • Art supplies
Cons
  • Expensive

Very impressed

This is my first time using gold foil (or its substitute) for nail art (and by "nail design" I mean standard base coat, nail polish and top coat). So far I'm impressed with how authentic foil looks on my manicure. My suggestion is that you might want to get a good quality glossy top coat (I use Seche Vite) to seal it in foil. You also get a lot of product for what you pay for. There are literally vendors selling small lots of (fake) gold foil for $10 or more. Will buy this again in the future.

Pros
  • Gold and Metallic Foil
Cons
  • Fade
