Not worth the investment

This microscope fails to deliver quality when compared to other electronics in its category .While it initially seemed like a good buy, with the low cost and included features, it quickly became apparent that it was not worth the investment. The only plus was the graduated feature but this cannot make up for the lack of clarity in the images..

Pros
  • Clear and crisp images with precise magnification
Cons
  • Polarizing filters can be difficult to adjust and operate at first, requiring practice and experience to use effectively.

That works fine. I made a change

I bought this monocular scope accessory for students to practice polarization microscopy. That works fine. Made a change. Instead of using the analyzer eyepiece that came with the kit, I cut out a round piece of linearly polarized plastic sheeting and placed it between the camera and the zoom lens of a 3 megapixel camera like those sold by AmScope. In a few minutes I got excellent images of dense connective tissue (slide prepared by AmScope). I also tried the analyzer eyepiece. It fits…

Pros
  • Camera and photo
Cons
  • Without automatic
