I love my shark, but

I like everything about this vacuum cleaner, but the motor, the main nozzle, keeps breaking. Now I've decided I'm not because I really care about things. And I think there's a chance that living in the desert with that fine dust spoils the engine. But I've had to replace the head 3 times and it looks like I'll have to do it again. He still seems to be sucking, but he has to pull while sucking, which he doesn't.

Has it changed?: Vertical Filters

When I first bought them I was very impressed and they fit my N681 perfectly. This last order did not match. The foam cylinder seems to be a bit narrower, so the vacuum is not sucked properly. It still works, just not fully. Unfortunately I bought these to have on hand so I didn't open/use them until the return window had passed so I couldn't exchange them and make sure I didn't get the wrong item. I will order another brand to test next time.

Perfect for Shark® Powered Lift-Away Speed™ with DuoClean

These replacement filters are the same size as the original filters. The round sponge and felt pad are the same density as the original. The Hepa filter is slightly different in that the original has wire mesh and the replacement does not. (See pics) Not sure if the Hepa replacement is washable. I will delete my original but I wanted to replace it so it has enough time to dry. I have to vacuum several times a day and collect some fine powder from my birds. Warning! You need to be careful to order the correct set as for reasons unknown Shark makes several different sets of these filters which look almost the same in photos but are totally incompatible with each other. Some of them are MUCH bigger than others. First measure your filters, compare with online offers and then buy the right set. Once you figure it out, it's a good deal.
