Love everything about this product, great to start shaving with shaving soap. The bowl is a bit small, but okay for starters. The brush is of very good quality and you can tell it's a good brush when hair falls out when applying shaving cream. Brushes should last up to 3-5 years with care. Each brush is expected to shed hair within the first two weeks of use and then stop. The brush holder does too. It comes with a great box that I also use when I travel. The soap is fine and as it's probably the best part of this set that means it's a big disappointment. After each use, the brush sheds more and more hair/bristles. The bowl is decent but small. The stand is completely useless. With a brush in it, the stand tips over easily due to the weight of the brush. The only way to counteract this is to leave the soap in the bowl to withstand the weight of the brush, but then the brush will flatten out relative to the soap. Bad design. I'm looking for…

A good set for beginners. I'm new to this DE razor and it was a good start. The brush, coaster and bowl are excellent, I didn't particularly bother with the soap (although it was free so can't really complain). Some soaps that I would recommend in addition to this are Taylor of Old Bond Sandalwood or 4 pcs. Col. Cucumber. A very durable and simple brush set, the bowl fits comfortably under the brush on the storage stand and the bristles aren't too rough either.
