I will call today to see if they can be returned. While the braid is fine and prevents breakage, the plug itself does not fit snugly into the socket. In order to charge it, it must be placed in a specific position very carefully. It's very frustrating when your Kindle "charges" all day and then realizes it doesn't.

It is difficult to rate this product correctly. The cable looks strong, the length is convenient. However, the connection wobbles at best. Even if I'm careful and carefully level my Kindle so it doesn't jerk, I still haven't gotten a full charge. It is difficult to find a cable suitable for my purpose. Addendum: The cables work well with my son's Samsung phone.

The cable connector isn't really suitable for connecting electronics (to my Revain Fire in this case) so it might look like it's charging, but then it does You look back and it stops charging even though you haven't touched anything. At first, one of the cords worked stably, but over time it got worse and worse. It's only been 4 months since I bought it so I'm not sure if it's worth the money.

One of the things that bothers me the most is the USB/Micro USB cables that seem to disconnect when plugged into the device, the cables wear out and the case break easily. So far these cables are working fine. They are long enough and the braid covering them seems strong enough. Also, it seems that bending doesn't damage them. I have several of these cables and they never last too long. I've had them for a month and so far so good. Both are powered by an Anker dual USB adapter and I can be charged quickly. I also have a micro USB to USB-C adapter to one of these with no problems.

I think the connector is a bit thicker than my original charging cable. This was good for me as I feel like the connectors stretch a bit over time, my old cable had a bit of slack just a bit of movement.
