The silk has come off a little on the back but is not visible on the front. The back of the tie is solid and I love how it looks with the back showing, overall a good buy. Update: The caterpillars on the back have loosened and after a few months the tie is no longer wearable.

This is a great modern tie that will look great in a variety of styles. Lined at the back, the same lining material is used for the straps. I was concerned that the woven material would snag, but it didn't. I wear 2-3 times a week. The only criticism is that the material is a bit shiny. I was hoping for a matte finish.

This is a good tie. I've received compliments every time I've worn it to both the office and other events. The loop on the back seems to be sewn on poorly, one side has already come loose and the other side was only attached with a thread. I ended up cutting off the other side and sewing it back on to make sure it spoke.

Wow, that's better than expected! It has a thin waffle knit and the material, whatever it is, mimics silk very well. And it's reasonable! Where it goes below the shirt collar, the weave is thinner and flatter, and the inside has a satin lining to make it easier to slide back and forth when adjusting, just like a knitted tie should be done. I'm going back to order another color.

Quality construction with nice details. There is a loop on the back to hold the narrow end in place. My old ones don't. The neck area is reinforced with satin material, which prevents overstretching and keeps its shape in the neck area. colors are accurate; I ordered dark blue and bordeaux. The color looks ok. Looks great with a denim shirt and blazer or with a white button down shirt and a navy blue blazer.
