Flaky Computers & Accessories

Used with 15" MacBook Pro to connect to Kinetic Trainer, Polar Heart Strap and Garmin Cadence Sensor. This worked great until it didn't. Several rides in my avatar mysteriously came up to stand when I was pedaling as hard as possible. In short the problem was this Ant+ device. I switched to bluetooth and it worked. Changing the USB port I was plugged into didn't helped. No extension cord, no moving the device closer to my trainer. My android phone has an ant built in and it works fine with the…

An affordable option that works!

Purchased to replace a Garmin ANT Stick. Connected to my Lenovo Yoga (Win10 64bit). Windows found it with no problems. However, the Sufferfest application had to be restarted several times before it decided to play normally. Did a quick session with Sufferfest, all devices were stable including PowerTap C1, Wahoo TickerX, Wahoo speed sensor and Garmin cadence sensor. Everything is fine here!

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Cable is shorter than other picks

Plug and Play - Rock Solid

I bought this ANT+ dongle to read the power meter (power/cadence) and heart rate strap for Smart Rotation. I connected the key to the USB extension cable right in front of the spinbike pedals. I mainly use Zwift and this ANT+ device doesn't miss a second. The devices are recognized quickly and do not fall out during my training.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost everything included

Exactly the same as returned item

I tried one of these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B077YDL2KL/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and is terrible with on Fancy Windows 7 with Kickr so I returned it and ordered the one listed with the best range, added some more and got better reviews. Received it today and it is EXACTLY the same device. I'll try, but I don't have much hope that it will work. I had another one within two feet of the Kickr device. I had the same issues with my Wahoo Tickr HR monitor and Wahoo…

Works great with GoldenCheetah and Wahoo Kickr

This little device works just as well as a Garmin ANT+ dongle, but costs a lot less. I'm using it on a Mac Mini with GoldenCheetah software installed to control Wahoo Kickr via ANT FE-C protocol.

  • Confident

Plugged it into my laptop's USB port and it took my ANT+ heart rate monitor, power meter, cadence sensor with no problem. It just worked. You can not ask for more. Oh and tiny.

No problems connecting to 3 devices at the same time

Anself USB ANT+ (seller was Dream-faster) works very well. I plugged it into a USB 2.0 port on a Dell Venue 11 Pro (a short-lived Dell Windows tablet). At the moment the tablet is running Windows 10. Windows 10 was automatically selected, downloaded and the driver installed. I use the MaximumTrainer software. Software via dongle can get data from Kickr Core, heart rate monitor and cadence monitor at the same time. The software can also control the resistance of the Kickr Core with FE+C. Because

Has worked great so far

I've been using this for about 2 weeks now. It is used to pair your Garmin heart rate monitor with the Wahoo Kickr and the Sufferfest app. I'm taking off one star because the instructions didn't come with it and I had to dig around a bit to find the right driver. I'm fairly tech savvy so this wasn't too much of a problem, but I can easily see that someone who isn't tech savvy will never be able to get this to work. Here are some tips for people having trouble: Connect the dongle to the…

Good ANT+ dongle, not perfect

Purchased for Zwift/TR setup. I have a Revain TV stand with a laptop tray that sits in front of the bike, the trainer is an Elite Direto and I use a Polar H10 HRM belt. At first I tried using the dongle plugged directly into the laptop's USB port and had some dropouts. Bought an extension cord then added a USB base that keeps the dongle upright for better signal dissipation. It worked better this way, but still had occasional TR drops. There are no problems with Zwift. Just bought a much more…
