The spoon is deep and wide to hold enough content; Part of the handle is beautifully carved and angled, making it a novelty to hold. The product itself is visually very soothing. It is easy. I use it with a big bowl when I eat ramen. I also appreciate the little hook cut into the rear handle to keep it from sinking into my ramen soup.

These spoons are great! Functional and pleasant to use. Much better than the standard Chinese soup spoon. I bought these to use with extra large bowls for eating ramen and other noodle soups at home. The bowls were huge, oversized (see photo with whole ramen order) but spoons are ok with regular bowls too. I got the unpainted version so I can use it with pots and pans as well. The second comparison photo shows an instant ladle, a regular spoon, and a small spoon.

This review is for the wooden spoon on the left (the longest wooden spoon). We love that this spoon's scoop was deep for soup and cereal and the handle was longer for larger hands. My husband and son (19) preferred the longer handle, as did I, and the girls preferred the shorter center handle.
