🔥 Enhanced Welding Experience: ArcOne S240 10 Horizontal Auto Darkening Welding Helmet Review

I didn't know it said HD but it was a nice bonus. I've been welding for about 10 years and gave up auto dimming a long time ago, but I've heard it's not bad and they're right. I've been using it for about 3 or 4 weeks and haven't had any problems and it's very clear.

I ordered this thinking it was just the old version. But when I got it, it was HD. I tested it as soon as I received it. I've read reviews of how people kept breaking out. But so far the only problem is that when I first ignited the arc, it took a little while to go out. I'm pretty sure the reason for this was that it needed to be charged as it runs on solar power. After the first arc, every time I ignited the arc, I had no problems. Well let's see how long that lasts

I really liked this auto-darkening filter. This is a big step up from the usual greenish lenses found on most welding helmets. I'm sure the HD ArcOne lens will give you a better view of both the weld area and the weld pool. The biggest plus is how clear the lens is when you're not welding. Unfortunately, mine didn't last more than 2 weeks. The product seems to have overheated and failed during use. I hope the warranty covers it because it's a really great lens.

I used a Home Depot Lincoln helmet with a fixed peak. And Arc One s540-10 came in with no problems. I also didn't know if it was going to be an HD lens and it was! It was a good deal at the time as I noticed the price has gone up since I bought it. The observation deck size is small for such a large helmet but adequate for my purpose. Two stars only because of the excellent clarity of the lens. It really is top notch. However, this is overshadowed by the fact that it has a very noticeable light-dark delay when the arc is struck, and I flash for a split second each time. I went ahead and made many attempts hoping it would get better, but it doesn't. The lens is also too bright for a 10, it's more like a tint 9 as others have said in their reviews. Before ordering I read all the reviews I could find and found that they are not as dark as they say they are. I ordered shade 11 and according to my measurements it's the dark part of shade 9. It's perfect for me so I'm lucky. The view is incredible. I liked the lens, tomorrow I will buy another one. The packaging was labeled HD which wasn't clear before ordering. I'm not a professional welder! I'm a do-it-yourself guy who just loves to make things myself. I received this and installed it in my new carbon fiber CMR pancake helmet.
