ArmoGear Infrared Laser Blasters Vests Review

My mother bought two sets for her 8 grandchildren this Christmas. The kits all worked together and they had a lot of fun playing with each other. They are easy to use. I like that you can play without a chest strap. So far they are doing a great job abusing my four boys!

Huge disappointment. Spent extra money to get 4 pistols and vests for arena laser tag. Great sounds and weapon options, but once we started playing it became clear that aiming was completely unnecessary. To test this we hung a target vest on the wall and stood 15 feet away, it almost didn't matter where we pointed the gun, it almost always registered as a vest hit. That took the fun out of us, so we're sending them back.

I took two of these sets so I have eight for kids to play with. While testing them (receivers within 4-5 feet) I found that it doesn't matter which way you point the guns. other teams always shoot, no matter how bad I am. I can even point the gun directly away from the enemy and still hit them. I think it's pretty stupid. Basically, whoever shoots the fastest wins. That's not my idea of what a laser tag kit should do. I was looking at another brand and after looking at what was on offer decided on this one. Bought this for a birthday present. The laser gun and chest receiver are powered by 3 AAA batteries. So you need 6 AAA for each amount. We took them right out of the box after realizing that the gun and breastplate had to be the same color or you'd shoot yourself.
