Backpack size. Fits in my headset and a very large water bottle. The outer pockets are also large, but some have storage compartments. The build quality is surprisingly good. Highly recommended.

I am impressed with the quality of this bag. It looks durable, functional and has many pockets. I don't get bad reviews. My headset fits perfectly in the side pocket. It's big enough for everything I need. My plotter didn't fit horizontally, it's lying at an angle in one of the compartments that come with the kit. Personally, I prefer a slanted bag over a large bag.

Durability shouldn't be an issue at all for this bag, very solid construction. The main compartment easily fits my kneeboard, POH and clipboard with my logbooks. Lots of storage space and other things. My only complaints about this bag are: 1) hat pockets need to be a bit bigger. Putting my David Clarke head in and out of a pocket is not an easy task. 2) The shoulder strap is not short enough. 3) Velcro dividers are a bit tricky to install if you plan to use them. This bag is bad in many ways. It comes ASA approved so you might think at least one of the 'other' ASA items will do. The CX2 doesn't fit in the pocket, forget the headphones, you have to squeeze them so tight you can easily damage them. ASA knee pads - only fits in the outer pocket in an upright position. I don't understand why the review is complaining about the size of the bag as it fits two standard David Clarke headsets although they are a bit narrow to fit in the end compartments. Then there is the middle compartment, open with some dividers. I would like some bags. I can sew some buttonholes or pockets myself. For years I've used the standard helmet bag to carry all my checklists and flight gear between Sims and the plane.
